A little something for the mom's out there........

These are WONDERFUL labels! I don't know how many of you freeze food items...... I do! I love to have freezer meal days with friends, where we prepare many dinners and then pop them into the freezer until we need them. Many of us moms out there are super busy with after school activities, church activities and many moms work! Well if any of you are like me, I don't have a ton of time to prepare big meals. Well, I feel like my family is being well fed if I prepare ahead of time and take out a freezer meal! I came across these great labels from the organizing woman of America, Martha, and thought how great these would be for my meals! They work so good because they have place to circle the date that you put the item into the freezer and a place to put what's in the bag! I love it because I don't have to wonder how long that paticular item has been in the freezer, I already know! I use UPS label stickers (that go on my boxes that I ship my Ebay items). They come with two large stickers to a page and then I print off several of these freezer labels on one page and cut them out. Hope you too can use these. It makes me feel a little more organized :o) By the way, I 'm sure you can find all kinds of sitcker sheets or label sheets at places like Office Depot or Staples........

Wanna do something fun and silly for your kids?

What a fun afterschool treat!! This also will get them excited about one of my favorite holidays, HALLOWEEN, which by the way is only about 8 weeks away!!! Simply put some gummy worms into an ice cube tray and sprawl them all over the place and then fill the tray with water and put into the freezer. Then once they are frozen add them to a clear drink and your kids will LOVE it!

A fun fall craft.........

I am all about fall time!!! I love the crisp air, the leaves changing, the leaves falling, fall crafts and most of all fall foods and decorating. I know this is a little premature but like it or not fall is around the corner and I found these cute little votive glasses with fall leaves on them!! I think this is the cutest craft! Here's how to do it:
These make wonderful gifts, and when coupled with scented tea lights, add a fragrant bouquet to your house as well.
What you'll need:
Leaves and foliage
Glass votive holder or jar
White tissue paper
White craft glue
Water
Paintbrush
Tea light candles
How to make it:
1.Collect small leaves and other foliage from outside. Be sure there’s still some life in the leaves – they shouldn’t be too dry or crumbly. (Note: We found several of our leaves on bushes as their leaves are smaller.)
2. Once selected, lay leaves in a single layer and place a large book on top to flatten them. Leave for an hour or two.
3.Spread a layer of white craft glue on the outside of the votive holder. Stick the leaves to the glue and press into place. Let dry.
4.Mix equal parts of water and white craft glue to create a decoupage paste.
5.Tear tissue paper into squares about one to two inches in size.
6.Use a paintbrush to glue the tissue paper over the leaves using the decoupage mixture.
7.Overlap the tissue paper and make sure all of the glass is covered. Carry over the lip of the votive holder as well and be sure that the tissue paper is decoupaged against the inside of the glass.
8.Allow the jars to dry overnight.
9.Place a tea light candle inside each votive holder!

Loving this DESK -TO-GO.......

Hello everyone!! Well my family decided to take a long beautiful drive today up into the mountains with "Grampa Tom" and OOHHH how I wish I would have seen this before we left! Love this sooo simple idea from Family Fun! My kids all love to draw while we are driving but end up with paper all over the car and then it gets stepped on and then they have a little freak out because their bestest drawing ever was just RUINED!! So I think that I am going to head to Walmart and get some pillows and clipboards and have the kids help me make a few of these. Oh... and what a great birthday gift idea for the little artist you know!! :o)
