These look so fun and easy to make! All it takes are some colorful 11 inch balloons a funnel and some dried lentils! I'm sure your kids and their friends would have a "ball" with these!! Family Fun has the best craft ideas! You could make an array of colors too!!

I Love cupcakes!!

I love cupcakes! It is now the newest rage too! Yay! I made these spider cupcakes for my son's Halloween party last year and they were a huge hit! I sort of designed them myself with the help of looking at others and making up my own spider. I just found this adorable monster cupcake on family fun and I love it!! I just love to play around with cupcakes and do fun things with them and involve my children and have them make up there own too! They can't wait to eat them all up! Ok can I tell you how much I love this?? Hammering flowers onto muslin cloth to use as pillow covers & quilt covers. Also you can make stationary, gift tags, note cards and so on... My gosh time goes by so fast!! I am sorry I have not posted anything for a while! I was out of town for a week. I hope you are all enjoying this blog! I love doing it because I know it encourages you to do some fun things with your children. Please feel free to leave me comments on anything I post and refer your friends to my blog! Let me know what kind of ideas you have regarding children's things like decor ideas, recipes, sewing for kids, games, etc... Clothing made out of bandanas!

Aren't these just adorable!! I had a subscription to Martha Stewart Kids magazine a long time ago and remembered these cute clothes that were in one of the very first magazines I received and I loved the idea! Now they have so many different bandanas available you could go crazy with this project! Click here for the how to's...

Fun project...

I did this project with my 7 year old and his friend. They had so much fun doing it!

Items needed:

- Thick piece of white paper like cardstock

- Paint (watered down)

- Salt (better if it course salt)

- Black piece of construction paper

- Chalk in different colors or pastels

What you do is take a piece of white cardstock or any thick white paper and have your child draw anything on it that will be easy to cut out. Then take some paint and water it down quite a bit and go over the picture completely, even outside the lines (because they will be cutting it out anyway). Once it is covered and still wet take some course salt and sprinkle it over the entire picture and let it dry. Once it is dry, shake the salt off and it will leave a really neat dot affect on the picture! Then cut out the picture and glue it onto a black piece of construction paper and let them finish drawing on it with either chalk or pastels. If you click on the above picture of the dragon you will be able to see the detail better! Have fun.........
